Mr. D. B. Upul, Chairman of the Fishery Corporation, reported at the Ministry of Fisheries on 16.08.2023 that the fish price, which had increased rapidly due to the monsoon season and the climatic changes in the last period of times, has come down.

Presenting the facts, the chairman said that the price of yellowfin tuna to 1100 rupees, squid to 700 rupees and skip jack tuna to 700 rupees.

Several officials including Mrs. Indu Rathnayake, Secretary of the Ministry of Fisheries participated in this event.
