Issuance of Operation License for Fishing

Boat owner shall visit the district office and submit an application form in order to receive an operation license as per the regulation. (Operation licenses are issued for High Seas operations and EEZ ). The applicant shall submit his boat registration number. Hence, the boat owner details are captured via the system.
The district officers shall update the details of operational license into the system.
The applicant shall make the payment to the district offices for the operation licenses.
The district officer shall recommend on the operational license and forwards it to the Assistant Director of the district. Assistant Director shall approve in the system and forwards it to the Director of High Seas unit in head office.
The Director of High Seas unit shall recommend on the operational license and forwards it to the management division. The officer in management division shall print the operational license shall submit for the approval of Director General.
The officer in management division shall print the operational license shall submit for the approval of Director General.
Director General shall approve the operational license manually.
Approved operational license shall issued to the respective district office.
In the event of renewal of operational license, the applicant shall submit the operational license number or boat registration number to renew the operational license annually. The renewal process shall be same as the current process.
