Awareness Programme on Scientific Data Collection for the field officers of the Department of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources working in the eastern province
A full day awareness programme was conducted for the field officers working in Trincomalee, Batticaloa, Kalmunai fisheries districts of the Department of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources on 21st August 2019 by Training and Investigation division at the Conference hall of the District Fisheries Office, Batticaloa.
The programme was delivered by Mr.R. S. A. Rathsara Bandraa, Assistant Director(Training), Mr. Rumesh Kumarasinghe, Assistant Director (Information Technology), Miss. Disney Asanka De Alwis, Fisheries Officer (Fisheries Management) of the Department of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources, Mrs. Lasanthi Perera, Statistician, Ministry of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources Development and Mr. Mahendra Jayathilaka, Scientist, National Aquatic Resources and Development Agency(NARA),
All field officers working in the harbours, anchorages and landing sites in the eastern province participated for the programme and it is significant that the officers participated for this training programme will be able to provide good quality fish catch data from the harbours, anchorages and landing sites to data analyzers for the sustainable management of bio mass and their regulation activities.

මෙම වැඩසටහන මෙහෙයවනු ලැබුවේ ආර්. එස්.ඒ. රත්සර බණ්ඩාර, සහකාර අධ්‍යක්ෂ (පුහුණු), රූමේෂ් කුමාරසිංහ සහකාර අධ්‍යක්ෂ (තොරතුරු තාක්ෂණ), දිස්නි අසංකා ද අල්විස් මෙනවිය ධීවර නිලධාරී (ධීවර කළමනාකරණ), ලසන්ති පෙරේරා මහත්මිය (සංඛ්‍යාලේඛනඥ – ධීවර හා ජලජ සම්පත් සංවර්ධන අමාත්‍යාංශය) සහ මහේන්ද්‍ර ජයතිලක මහතා ( ජාතික ජලජ සම්පත් හා සංවර්ධන ඒජන්සියේ (නාරා) විද්‍යාඥ.) යන නිලධාරින් මඩුල්ලකිනි.
මෙම පුහුණු වැඩසටහන සඳහා සහභාගී වූ නිලධාරීන්ට වරාය, නැංගුරම් පොළ සහ ගොඩබෑමේ ස්ථාන වලින් ගුණාත්මක තත්ත්වයේ මසුන් ඇල්ලීමේ ගුණාත්මක දත්ත ලබා ගත හැක්කේ කෙසේද යන්න මඟින් දත්ත විශ්ලේශනය කරන්නන්ට ජෛව ස්කන්ධයේ තිරසාර කළමනාකරණය සඳහා යොදා ගැනීමට හැකි විම මෙම පුහුණු වැඩසටහනේ අරමුණ වන්නේය.
Awareness program was held on 03.09.2010 at the Pensions Department Auditorium for the deployment of officers on large boats operating in the high seas.
In this program, the objective of this program was to create awareness on the use of vessel observers to collect scientific data for all sailing vessels over 24 meters in accordance with the Conventions 11/04 and 18/06 adopted by the IOTC.
මහ මුහුදේ ක්‍රියාත්මක වන විශාල යාත්‍රා මත නිලධාරීන් යෙදවීම පිළිබඳව දැනුවත් කිරීමේ වැඩසටහනක් 2019 .09 .03 වන දින විශ්‍රාම වැටුප් දෙපාර්තමේන්තු ශ්‍රවනාගාරයේදී පැවැත්විණි.මෙහිදී ඉ .සා .ටූ කොමිසම(IOTC) විසින් සම්මත කරන ලද 11/04 සහ 18/06 සම්මුතීන් ට අනුව මීටර් 24 ට වැඩි සියලුම මරුවැල් යාත්‍රා සඳහා විද්‍යාත්මක දත්ත එකතු කිරීම සඳහා යාත්‍රා මත නිරීක්ෂකයින් යෙදවීම පිළිබඳව දැනුවත් කිරීම මෙම වැඩසටහනේදී සිදු විණි .
